Acceptance

By using MealPlanatic (mobile app or web), you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

You must be 18 or older to use MealPlanatic.

The service

MealPlanatic provides meal planning, pantry tracking, grocery lists, recipe suggestions, optional photo scanning, and store price tools. Features may change over time. Some capabilities require a supported device and, where offered, a paid plan.

Plans and prices

MealPlanatic has a free plan and three optional paid plans. Each plan includes a number of scans, recipe imports and Ask Forky questions every calendar month:
- Free: 3 scans, 2 recipe imports and 5 Ask Forky questions a month.
- Plus: 15 scans, 5 recipe imports and 15 Ask Forky questions a month. $4.99 a month or $53.88 a year.
- Pro: 25 scans, 10 recipe imports and 30 Ask Forky questions a month. $8.99 a month or $93.84 a year.
- Family: 50 scans, 25 recipe imports and 60 Ask Forky questions a month. $20 a month or $192 a year.
A scan is one photo of a pantry shelf, fridge or grocery receipt. An import is one recipe brought in from a link, pasted text, a photo, a screenshot or a video. Paid plans also include up to 200 store price-tag scans a month. Limits start again on the first day of each month (UTC) and unused ones do not carry over. One that ends in an error is given back; if one is lost another way, email us and we will restore it.
The price is shown before you buy, and tax is added where it applies.
A paid plan renews automatically at the end of each month or year, at the price then in effect, until you cancel. We charge the payment method you gave at checkout through our payment processor, Stripe.
You can cancel at any time in Account → Manage subscription, or by emailing support@mealplanatic.app. Cancelling stops future charges. Your plan stays on until the end of the period you already paid for.
We do not give refunds for part of a period, except where the law requires it or where we charged you in error.
If we change the price, we will email you at least 7 days and no more than 30 days before the change, with how to cancel.
For yearly plans we email a reminder before each renewal.
If a payment fails, we may retry it. If it still fails, your paid plan ends and your account returns to the free plan. Your pantry, lists and recipes are kept.
Deleting your account cancels your paid plan straight away and stops future charges. Time left in a period you already paid for is not refunded.

Your account and content

You are responsible for your account credentials and the accuracy of information you enter.
You retain ownership of content you add; you grant us permission to host and process it to run the app.
Community price submissions may be shown to other users as described in the Privacy Policy.
You may use optional calendar export features (Google Calendar links or .ics downloads). Those open your calendar app or Google — we do not access your calendar account.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the app, attempt to access others’ data, interfere with the service, scrape it at scale, or upload unlawful content.

Disclaimers

MealPlanatic is provided “as is.” Recipe, nutrition, allergen, and price information may be incomplete or inaccurate. AI photo and receipt scanning can misread labels, and Ask Forky, our AI helper, can give answers that are wrong or incomplete. Always verify allergens, food safety, and prices before you cook or shop.

YouTube

Recipe videos in MealPlanatic come from YouTube through YouTube API Services. By using those features you also agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MealPlanatic and its operators are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

Termination

You may stop using the app at any time and delete your account from Account → Delete account or the account deletion page. We may suspend access if these terms are violated.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
